For nearly thirty years, humanity has suffered from a terrifying plague known as emotional disorder. Those infected lose control of their feelings, causing madness, violence, and death.
At ten years old, Chang Mo watched his father die after awakening a strange ability. He could see grotesque “emotion sacs” growing on people’s heads, physical signs of emotions spiraling out of control. Soon after, he watched his mother die the same way.
To survive, Chang Mo buried every feeling inside him. He erased desire, fear, anger, and sadness, forcing himself to live with absolute rationality. For years, it kept him alive.
But during a cruise ship team-building event, Chang Mo discovers the truth. He was never free from the plague. A far more dangerous monster has been sleeping inside him the monster of rationality.
